ORIGINAL ART FROM 75 YEARS OF GOLDEN BOOKS!

In 1942, a series of affordable, well-written and richly illustrated children’s books captured the heart of the country. Norfolk will be the first city to mark the 75th anniversary of Little Golden Books with the most extensive public showing ever of the original illustrations. View more than sixty original art masterpieces chosen from the Random House archive, including classics like The Poky Little Puppy, Tootle, I Can Fly, and more! The exhibit highlights artwork from many of the twentieth-century’s leading illustrators and features Disney Studio alumni who helped develop classics like Snow White and Pinocchio. The exhibit is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC to view in the Slover Library during regular operating hours.

All Ages Welcome!

“Little Golden Books: 75 Years and Still Golden” is on loan from the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature and sponsored in part by the Slover Library Foundation and Nauticus.
